MPS are recruiting experienced Furniture Upholsterers for Ashwood Designs, our well established furniture manufacturing client based in Robertstown, Aberdare.

Candidates will be upholstering a variety of different models using different fabrics and techniques including stretching and webbing fabric, attaching padding and/or springs and building furniture with fibre fillings and foam.

Candidates must have -

· High degree of upholstery skills. Preferably within the sofa or home furniture industry.

· The ability to understand technical job specifications to measure and cut fabrics and leathers.

· Previous experience using power tools such as pneumatic nail guns.

· Excellent accuracy and clear precision to ensure foam, stitching and other elements of the furniture is completed to a high standard.

· Excellent planning, organisation, and multi-tasking skills to ensure targets are met within sufficient timescales.

· The understanding and knowledge to carry out instructions from the supervisors and team leader.

· The ability to perform on the spot quality checks to ensure the highest quality control standards are maintained.

In return, our client offers full time hours, good rates of pay & permanent contracts.

Working Hours

7:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday

Rate of Pay

Competitive hourly rate including the potential to earn weekly bonuses. This will be discussed at interview
